Rupert Soskin has studied the natural world and earth sciences since childhood. His lifelong passion for natural history led him to further his research into geology, archaeology, anthropology and evolutionary psychology, particularly the behavioural similarities between man and animals. He lectures and has led groups to visit ancient sites and natural wonders in Britain and abroad. He is also a much published nature and travel photographer.

The film Standing with Stones, made with producer/director Michael Bott, explores many of the megalithic sites in Britain and Ireland. The book, also called Standing with Stones is published by Thames & Hudson.

His wife Julie runs the School of Insight & Intuition in London, which encourages a practical and down to earth approach to Spiritual and Consciousness studies.
